Land Run Monument

Each time I visit the Land Run Monument, I see details that I hadn't noticed before. The minute details that the artist included on this pioneer's face, his clothing, and even the saddle are nothing short of amazing.

painted buffalo at the zoo

This painted buffalo is part of our city's public art project, Spirit of the Buffalo. I found this beauty just inside the entrance of the Oklahoma City Zoo.

You can read more about the Spirit of the Buffalo project at the official website.

Blackberry Wednesday: 10 floors above Oklahoma City

The Eastern view from a building near 56th Street and I-44 in Oklahoma City.

Since I don't have an iPod to participate in iPod Wednesdays with Ming the Merciless, I'm going to have BlackBerry Wednesdays, instead. :)

Suicide Awareness/Prevention Walk

On Saturday, at the Oklahoma City Zoo, people from around the Oklahoma City area gathered to walk in support of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. While I was sad that so many of us had lost a loved one, I was happy to be able to participate in such an important event.
