Saturday, I spent the day at Frontier City, an amusement park north of Oklahoma City, with middle school orchestra students. The weather was perfect and it was a really fun day.

Land Run Monument
Each time I visit the Land Run Monument, I see details that I hadn't noticed before. The minute details that the artist included on this pioneer's face, his clothing, and even the saddle are nothing short of amazing.

painted buffalo at the zoo
This painted buffalo is part of our city's public art project, Spirit of the Buffalo. I found this beauty just inside the entrance of the Oklahoma City Zoo.
You can read more about the Spirit of the Buffalo project at the official website.
