clouds over oklahoma city
I took this photo yesterday with my BlackBerry as I ate lunch on the patio at work with the people in my department. It was a perfect day for having lunch outside and I found myself wishing I could work outside at one of the patio tables for the afternoon.

I don't know what the word on this giant ball is, do you?
Several of these can be seen in front of Super Cao Nguyen in Oklahoma City's Asian District. I'm not sure of their exact size, but they come up to my mid-thigh. The balls are not just decorative, they're strategically placed to keep vehicles from running into the building.

farmers' market
The plain outside of the building where the OSU OKC Farmers' Market is held each Saturday doesn't reflect the amazing Oklahoma grown and Oklahoma made products inside.

local market
Vine-ripened tomatoes and squash are only two of the many kinds of produce to be found at the OSU-OKC Farmers' Market in Oklahoma City. Over the past few weeks, I've found corn on the cob, okra, cucumbers, cantaloupe, new potatoes, spinach, onions, garlic, shallots, and watermelon - and that's just the tip of the iceberg. You can also find local honey, and lots of locally made products like breads, baked goods, pecans, candies, fudge, hand-woven baskets, handmade clothing, bags, jewelry, dairy products and beautiful plants and flowers (like the zinnias posted below).

zinnias
I found these lovelies at the OSU OKC Farmers' Market. I go to the Farmers' Market almost every Saturday to get produce for the week. Each week, I thoroughly enjoy meeting and visiting with others who go to the market and with the vendors.
