Spirit of the Buffalo

Today, I saw a buffalo that I've not noticed before. He lives by the canal in Bricktown between Bass Pro and Toby Keith's Bar and Grill. The buffalo looks a little worn (weathered), but is still beautifully majestic. This large herd of one hundred buffalo painted/decorated by Oklahoma artists are located throughout Oklahoma. Many of them are in the Oklahoma City area.

You can read more about the Spirit of the Buffalo project at the official website.

  1. That's a fascinating project, and I like the concept! I'm just not crazy about the red paint this particular artist used — he looks like he's hurting. But I guess they really were…

  2. Very cool project, believe it or not I would love to ranch buffalo. I'm working on it! In the meantime, I wouldn't mind having that one in the condo garden!
